Bill and Laurie Sky are internationally recognized as leading performers of traditional American Folk Music, dedicated to the preservation of folk music and dance as cultural art forms. Together, they introduce the guitar, chorded zither. mandolin, dulcimer, bass viol and harmonica in their live performances. The Skys have hosted their own weekly Folk Arts educational television show for several years and regularly tape TV and radio programs for PBS Network broadcasts in 30 states. They frequently appear on major network TV shows such as GOOD MORNING AMERICA and Ted Turner's CNN TRAVELOGUE. Bill and Laurie have received many awards in recognition of their work in and contribution to the field of American Folk Music. Laurie recently received two National Traditional Performer of the Year awards for her work on the chorded zither and her presentation of folk dance in traditional music.
